I completed my specialist training in ear, nose and throat medicine in Darmstadt from 2005 to 2010. I then worked as a specialist in Darmstadt and Wiesbaden in 2011 and 2012 before moving to Vienna in 2013.

At the ENT department of Klinik Hietzing, I initially worked as a senior physician. From 2021 to 2022 I was leading senior physician, and from 2022 to 2024 interim head of the department.

After the ENT department moved to Klinik Landstrasse, I continue to work there as a senior physician.

I have also completed the additional specialty in phoniatrics.

In addition to my work in the public healthcare system, I also perform operations privately, including at Klinik Dobling and Rudolfinerhaus in Vienna.

Personal care for my patients is important to me. In my private practice I can take sufficient time for a thorough examination and a personal consultation.

A particular focus of my surgical work is sinus surgery, especially functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS).

I have deepened my experience in this field through numerous surgical courses and stays abroad with recognised specialists in sinus surgery, including at specialised centres in Varese and Pisa in Italy.

A special focus is frontal sinus surgery, which is one of the most demanding areas of sinus surgery because of its complex anatomy. Depending on the findings and anatomy, endoscopic approaches through the nose as well as external surgical approaches may be used.

My spectrum also includes surgical treatment of benign tumours of the paranasal sinuses, including inverted papilloma. Depending on location and extent, special approaches such as the prelacrimal approach can be used.

Another area is the treatment of nasal polyposis and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP). In addition to surgical treatment, my work includes assessing whether antibody therapy or treatment with biologics is appropriate.

I also care for patients with cystic fibrosis and associated diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses.

Another focus of my surgical work is septum surgery, the surgical treatment of a deviated nasal septum.

A deviation of the nasal septum can restrict nasal breathing and contribute to symptoms such as a persistently blocked nose or recurring sinus problems.

Depending on the findings, surgical correction of the nasal septum may be appropriate. The aim is to improve nasal breathing while taking the individual anatomy into account.

Children are a special patient group in ENT medicine. It is important to me that children feel comfortable during the examination and can build trust. This requires time and a patient, straightforward approach.

As an ENT doctor for children in Vienna, I care for children with common ENT conditions and also perform relevant operations.

Operations for children are performed both in the public healthcare system at Klinik Landstrasse and privately at Klinik Dobling and Rudolfinerhaus in Vienna.

This includes:

• Tonsil operations - tonsillectomy and tonsillotomy
• Adenoid operation - adenotomy
• Insertion of ventilation tubes
• Insertion of T-tubes
• Treatment of middle-ear diseases
• Assessment and treatment of diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses

Good medical treatment begins for me with a thorough examination and a personal conversation.

In my private practice I want to take sufficient time to discuss symptoms and findings calmly. Especially when an operation is being considered, it is important to me that patients understand why a procedure may be useful, what options exist, and what to expect.

Not every condition needs surgery. Together we discuss which treatment is appropriate in each case.

Depending on the type of procedure and my patients' individual needs, operations are possible both publicly and privately.
